Your Role and Responsibilities
In your role as a Red Hat Digital Sales Technical Specialist, you are the technical expert and advisor to our clients, sales teams and/or Business Partners. You understand the client’s business/technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and combine this with your knowledge of the Red Hat and IBM solutions to present value-driving solutions that compel clients to invest in us. You will demonstrate product capabilities selling with the “show me, don’t tell me”Approach.
You will be the go-to product subject matter expert with technical ownership of sales opportunities for your Squad. A typical day may involve:
- Deliver pre-sales solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concept engagements that articulate the business value of the proposed solution.
- Understand Red Hats points of view, the competition in the market, and know how to position Red Hats unique value proposition.
- Lead solutions training and provide enablement for your team, as well as share knowledge and findings to allow team members to learn from your experience.
- Interlock with Digital Sales Specialists (DSS) and Partner Technical Specialists (PTS) on territory strategies and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong digital selling presence, use of digital platforms, and techniques to demonstrate technical subject matter expertise.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Fluent Spanish
- Effective Communication and Relationship-Building: Successful communication and relationship-building in enterprise and SMB environments.
- Pre-sales Expertise: Experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or consulting, working with client subject matter experts to scope and demo solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills and a passion for Cloud technologies.
- Sales Success: Track record of success in Technical Sales.
- Agility / Adaptability to work as part of a cross functional team and able to adapt to changing markets/client needs
- Ability to interpret and articulate customer business and technical needs.
- Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures
- Advanced knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform offerings like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Broad understanding of the application life cycle from development to production and its respective practices (DevOps)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Previous experience in a technical pre-sales or support role focused on DevOps, cloud computing, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) technologies.
- Knowledge of key technologies in DevOps including Linux containers, container management, security, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tooling
- Experience with configuration management technologies like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, Chef, or other related technologies
