Posting descriptionAs Research analyst you will be working within our top-rated Team, providing support to the Senior Analyst. A strong work ethic is essential. Prior sell-side Equities experience is preferred but is not a pre-requisite. Experience gained in accountancy, consulting, or other areas of investment management or banking may also be relevant. A strong understanding of accounting will be highly valued. Strong numerical skills are needed (excel and databases will be preferred but are not a pre-requisite). The candidate needs to be able to deal confidently with people at all levels in the organization and J.P. Morgan clients in the asset management industry
Job responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of materials for the regular publication of research.
- Assist in primary research and analysis of data.
- Assist in writing research reports.
- Maintain and update datasets for investment analysis.
- Assist in responding to internal and external client queries.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders as well as Buyside and Industry participants.
- Contribute with stock ideas towards the team’s model portfolio.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
- Bachelors degree minimum
- Passion for the stock market, for investing, for generating superior returns, and turning them into personal wealth..
- Ambitious, hard-working, reliable, team player with the capacity to show initiative.
- Database knowledge would be preferred (but not essential).
- Strong analytical, numerical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
- Ideal candidates for this position would be Engineers from prominent institutes including IITs; or candidates with specialization in Finance related courses from renowned universities.
