What will you do?

• As the Senior Director of AI in SKAI, you will lead and manage a group of applied data scientists, working closely with Engineering, Product and Customer Success leaders to create client-facing business value and contribute to strategic decision making and innovation through Machine Learning at the edge of technology.
• Actively guide a diverse group to develop and deploy state of the art AI models, driving innovation and execution within set timelines and quality, proactively addressing obstacles and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Partner and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders in a dynamic environment, ensuring team alignment, prioritization of efforts, and strategy execution. Your collaborative leadership will be pivotal in driving our shared goals.
• Lead all talent management aspects of the group, such as hiring, reviews, mentoring, promotions etc.
• Member of the Skai Engineering management team, contributing and leading cross organization activities and helping to drive for better efficiency, productivity, collaboration and innovation.

What do you need?

• MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related fields, with at least 5 years of relevant hands-on data science experience.
• 3+ years of leading a large data science group, including managing managers.
• Possessing high business acumen and communication skills, enabling you to translate ML-driven innovations into tangible product enhancements and solutions that resonate with product requirements and client needs.
• Proven track record of taking proof of concepts into high scale production level solutions in a cloud platform environment (AWS is an advantage).
• Demonstrated visionary and decisive leadership, with a proven track record of inspiring your team and the broader organization to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
• Significant experience with one or more of the following areas:
• Time series modeling and analysis, bayesian modeling, deep Learning (Tensorflow/Keras/pyTorch), cloud services for ML development (SageMaker).
• Production engineering and software development practices.
