Your new job | About your main responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Work with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic sales plans and revenue targets for the TMT industry and primary industry clients.
- Act as a sparring partner to EY Netherlands TMT Industry Leader, contributing to strategic decision-making and industry direction.
- Facilitate business development in the TMT sector by identifying and pursuing opportunities, nurture client relationships, and meeting revenue goals.
- Build and maintain external networks and personal client relationships, assess their requirements, and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage the sales process from initial prospecting to closure, including pipeline development, growth analysis, and providing recommendations, as well as supporting major pursuits.
- Conduct win/loss debriefs and Assessment of Service Quality (ASQ)/Expectations of Service Quality (ESQ) discussions.
- Ensure ongoing improvement of customer experiences through the development and application of process best practices.
- Represent EY at national and international industry events to increase visibility in the market.
- Support a unified internal identity and community building around the TMT Industry by sharing sales practices and results.

- Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or account management within the TMT Industry.
- Strong understanding of the TMT-landscape, including emerging trends and technologies.
- Track record of delivering growth in complex B2B environments and partnering with large clients in the Netherlands and globally.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to execution, focusing on driving growth and profitability through joint go-to-market initiative.
- Trusted advisor who builds client relationships that deliver long-term value.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet sales targets.
- Uses analytical insights to support decision-making (data-oriented) and drive progress (KPIs).

2. Our first contact:After your application, our recruiter will call you for a short introduction. We’ll explore whether the role could be a good match.
3. First interview:Before the interview, we’ll ask you to complete an online assessment. Not a standard questionnaire, but a game-based assessment focusing on both your cognitive skills and behavioral preferences. We’ll discuss the results during the interview, which will include a colleague from the relevant department. This mutual introduction is a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to ask any questions you have.
4. Second interview:If we see a match and you’re still enthusiastic, we’ll invite you for a second interview. We’ll dive deeper into the role and other relevant topics. Sometimes, a business case is part of the process. A final interview may also follow.
