As a Security Engineer.., you will drive detection and response improvements. You will respond to incidents to keep our employees and infrastructure safe from real-world threats.

As a Security Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Managing SIEM and SOAR solutions, Specifically, Splunk
• Administering and aligning with Platform/Security engineering teams to enhance Correlation and orchestration through effective log management.
• Ensuring effective log onboarding, ingestion, and parsing by aligning with Platform/Security engineering teams for enhanced correlation.
• Implementing and maintaining automation systems and processes, installing and supporting information security tools for Akamai's SOC
• Implementing and supporting Akamai's internal use of Akamai developed Zero Trust products.
• Supporting security incidents as an escalation; providing technical leadership in support of Akamai's internal SOC.
• Escalate project issues. Drive Akamai's SOC projects, automating reporting for status and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2-4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree(BE/Btech) and CEH, CCNA and SANS
• Possess Linux shell scripting expertise. Develop software proficiently in Python, Java, and JavaScript, among other languages.
• Have Demonstrates a keen interest in internet technologies and essential protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Have Utilize intrusion detection systems, layer 3/4/7 firewalls, SIEM tools, vulnerability management, and incident response effectively.
• Have Implement security standards and frameworks like PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST/DoD, gaining valuable expertise.
• Have Experienced in software development and SDLC, with in mobile device application security or development.
