What a Typical day looks like:
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepancy material and devises methods to assess cost.
- Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Holds up Product Engineers and Quality Program Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
- Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.
- Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion.
- Assists with development and implementation of quality audits.
- In charge of developing, applying, revising and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
- Explores reports and returned products and recommends corrective action.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement and research of equipment and facilities.
- Approves product, process and equipment qualifications.
- Support in supplier approval process by assessingmanufacturing/technologycapabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks
- Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards
- Follow up with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues
- Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
- Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
The experience we’re looking to add to our team
- B.E / B.Tech in ECE / EEE / IC / Mechanical / Mechatronics with (0-2) years of experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) in Manufacturing set up, Preferably in EMS Industry.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
- Knowledge of quality and business systems
- Knowledge of TS16949
- Knowledge of measurement techniques
- Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Understanding manufacturing processes
- Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
- Planning and prioritizing activities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good Excel skill
