looking for a development managerin Xi’an
As Development Manager, you will be:
- eadand developa cross functional development team. Because we work on the cutting edge, we need someone who is eager to learn, results-oriented, resourceful in getting things to work and productive working independently or collaboratively.
- Ultimately be accountable for the quality, experience, readiness, and timely delivery of all features produced by your team.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of sound software engineering principles and best practices for development. Be capable of driving projects end to end.
- Everyone, including management, is close to the code and making technical contributions - including contributing to design, coding, testing, systems setup.
- Knowledgeable in analytics so that you can effectively participate in requirements definition.
- Enable quality excellence within product units through test techniques, process, frameworks, and tools.
- Lead a team of developer/test experts in multi-technology environment.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a high-performance team.
- Manage the lifecycle of employees – e.g., recruiting/retaining, developing/guiding/motivating, managing performance.
- Ensure ongoing communication of company/org messages, objectives, goals and strategy into own team.
- Work closely/collaborate across roles, functions, and teams, as well as with colleagues in other countries and customers/partners when needed.
- Able to understand and play an active role in all aspects of the development process (of both new and existing applications and functionality).
- Stay current on technology and understand how it may fit into or advance our strategic direction.
- Growing the skills of the team and participating in their growth and career plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) / or Master's degree (or equivalent) preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or similar area.
- 12+ years of relevant software development experience with 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional teams
- 5 years of experience with agile software development methodologies, such as SCRUM
- Strong knowledge in K8sBased development technologies
- Knowledge inSAP HANA Cloudwould be an added advantage.
- Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment would be a plus.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and able to prioritize work based on short term and medium-term business needs.
- Experience in leading teams / larger projects with the ability to work with, understand, and motivate people.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: open-minded, team player, result oriented, motivated to work in an international and intercultural environment with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple topics and multiple stakeholders.
- Scale team for multiple components and topic deliveries and delegate topic ownership adequately.
- Bring technical initiatives together and drive engagement with the larger team.
- Consistent performance with high level of team engagement and trust scores.
- Prior experience in the role of people manager or functional leadership with direct team connect is mandatory.
- Strong experience in end-to-end software delivery (solution definition, implementation, and quality).
