bout the Role:
This position is for the Sr. Production Manager role for. This role is responsible for the planning and execution of production and DL requirements, future projections and capacity planning to support growth. The production process runs in 3 shifts and will be in charge +10 production supervisors across all shifts. The Production Manager also needs to be responsible or to support improvement projects, inventory strategies, product launches, COGS strategies and P&L execution and manage internal and external stakeholders. The Production Manager also is responsible for the leadership and Operational Excellence culture of the Business Unit.
You’re Responsibilities Include:
- Schedule, plan and supervise production requirements. Oversee the efficient use of equipment and materials. Support cost reduction projects, whether on materials, processes, or standards, among others. Support and/or lead process, equipment and products transfer processes.
- Define production objectives, policies and goals. Maintain good relations with personnel under his/her supervision. Coordinate, along with the supervisors, production scheduling and meeting goals proposed for the year, as well as provide the necessary support to Manufacturing Engineers in continuous improvement through projects and initiatives from all personnel.
- Support employee-safety oriented initiatives: rotation programs of line personnel, and the use of safety equipment in the production area, among others.
- Excellent communication with all levels of the organization, including GSC and Division.
- Responsible to lead or support strategic projects for the company specially those related to people development, cultural change and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication with all levels of the organization, including product builders, engineers, managers, directors and above.
- Responsible to connect product line indicators to overall company metrics understanding impact to key quality, service, financial and safety indicators
- High Financial acumen to prioritize and drive the right strategies to hit COGS and P&L aspects.
- Support divisional strategies for product launches, new product development and inventory management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Licenciature or above in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Field Related
- Experience: 7 years of production management (medical device experience is preferred)
- English Level: 90-94%
- Master’s degree desirable
- CQE y/o APICs Certification desirable
- Financial Accumen
- Lean Production methodologies and inventory management
- People development skills and experience implementing an operational excellence culture in big teams
- Problem Solving methodologies
- Ability to champion new ideas and techniques designed to nurture an environment that encourages and supports innovation
- Ability to direct and control the activities and budget for multiple functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects, programs and/or operations
