As Lead Engineering Technician here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for providing technical assistance to the engineering team and guiding a group of technicians in our aerospace division. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects and driving technical excellence within the team.

You will work out of our Clearwater, FL location.

This Lead Engineering Technician position is within the Space Inertial Navigation Test group. The Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on diverse technical tasks related to the calibration of Inertial Guidance and Navigation test equipment. Technician will be capable of providing work direction and technical training and guidance to other technicians as needed. Work with technicians and engineers to resolve calibration and test setup and execution issues. Job requires physical exertion and extended standing, walking, sitting times while retaining focus on tasks at hand.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must keep detailed logs
  • Coordinates standard calibration processes on a variety of aerospace navigation equipment and records and analyzes results
  • Follow detailed calibration procedures without error
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Provide verbal and written status to program personnel daily
  • Execute 5S, Safety, equipment/lab maintenance and other tasks on a daily basis
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

MUST HAVE

  • Associate’s degree, Technical School Diploma, or two year’s college coursework in Electronics or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of electronics systems test experience or related field.
  • Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.

WE VALUE

  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting board level assemblies
  • Electronic Circuit and Systems Analysis skills
  • Proficient in the use and setup of standard Electrical Engineering lab equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in technical writing.
  • Experience in utilizing test and measurement equipment (meters, analyzers, scopes).
  • Experience in working with cross functional organizations.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience and flexibility to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Experience providing support to existing legacy test equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to help engineers in the planning and organizing of complex technical projects.
  • Good people skills and the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels with a positive, can-do attitude
