What you'll do:

  • You will also conduct unit testing, communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders, collaborate with project and cross-functional teams, troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensure on-time delivery and hand-offs, and provide leadership to the project team.

  • Your role will involve SAP Payroll configuration, reviews, troubleshooting data and config issues by gathering information, issue resolution, conducting root cause analysis, unit testing and completing necessary documentation.

  • Develop high-quality, scalable, performance-effective, and customer-centric solutions in SAP payroll for the US and Canada.

  • Perform hands-on configuration (customizing) work to support new and existing functionality.

  • Serve as the resident team expert for SAP Payroll configuration issues in both support and new implementations.

  • Design and review configuration and functional specifications, collaborating with developers to develop and test significant new functionality and enhancements.

  • Create and execute unit test scenarios for quality assurance activities to ensure all requirements are met.

  • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for leveraging standard SAP product capabilities.

  • Assist in the technical preparation of Test Scenarios, and End-user documentation.

  • Additionally, you will provide support to the payroll business, developers & test automation engineers by addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues. This includes assessing technical feasibility, developing implementation strategies, identifying short and long-term solutions, facilitating resolutions, and leading cross-functional partnerships.

  • Execute SAP HCM Payroll Development tasks to enhance or add functionality to the existing/new SAP PA & Payroll landscape, with a specific emphasis on the HCM & Payroll modules.

  • Responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, debugging, and unit testing SAP HR ABAP, Portal, and Fiori applications.

  • The role will involve SAP RICEF objects development, reviews, troubleshooting code issues by gathering information, issue resolution, conducting root cause analysis, unit testing and completing necessary documentation.

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of 6 years relevant experience. 2 end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations and/or background in support.

  • Hands-on experience in the following areas: - Payroll Control Center (PCC) configuration - HRSP upgrades and year-end activities - BSI tax factory configuration and maintenance - Wage type setup - SCHEMA, PCRs & Taxes for US & CA - Garnishments configuration - Finance posting - Payment models - Taxability setup - Remuneration statement.

  • Experience in year-end activities.

  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies and tasks required during each phase of implementation.

  • Experience in working in a blended delivery model for greenfield and brownfield implementations and operations support.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Payroll business processes, Functional and technical specifications.

  • Experience in designing ABAP RICEF objects, particularly using ABAP Proxies for integrations.

  • Strong knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting object-oriented ABAP HR issues.

  • Experience working closely with Business process teams and different systems such as Workday, SAP Finance, Time & Attendance, ServiceNow, Benefits, and Garnishments.

  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming, Dialog Programming, Modular Programming, Dynamic Programming, RFC (Remote Function Calls), and BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface), BAdIs (Business Add-Ins) & Parallel Processing.

  • Direct experience in designing and working extensively with interface between SAP HCM and Analyze support issues in collaboration with functional team members and business analysts.

  • Thorough understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Ability to monitor and manage task progress.

  • Functional knowledge of SAP Personnel Administration, Payroll (US/CA), Time Management, Garnishments, Benefits, and respective info types.

  • General understanding of the accounting process, such as GL posting from Payroll.

  • Familiarity with SAP Payroll Control Center (PCC) and ticketing tools like Service Now.

  • Experience in infotype decoupled framework.

  • Proficient in Unit and Performance testing, quality analysis, and integration testing.

  • Familiarity with the SAP upgrade process (SPAU/SPDD) including system preparation data migration and post-upgrade activities is crucial. Proficiency in Support Pack upgrade, handling SPDD & SPAU, OSS Note activities. Experience in handling Dual maintenance Set-up.

  • Ability to create, manage, communicate, and meet project timelines and goals.

  • SAP implementation project experience and aware of SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience or exposure to the following is a plus.

    • Mid-year/mid-quarter payroll go-live.

    • Epi-Use tools
