Trainee is part of MN RAN L2 unit, in charge of the “5G L2 packet scheduler” which is, within the 5G base station, the principal component managing the allocation of all radio resources to the users, at the super huge pace of 125 microseconds. The scheduler is developed by a community of more than 1000 L2 SW engineers in five countries: China, India, Poland, Germany, and France. In this context, you will be part of a scrum team, in charge of developing and maintaining test tools and frameworks which are widely used by the whole unit. The team is spread over three sites: Krakow (Poland), Wroclaw (Poland) and Massy (France) with a proven expertise in real-time programming and build time optimization. You will be assigned a “buddy” and will perform delegated tasks with the objective to take over more and more responsibilities and learn all required skills for your future job as a SW designer.

Two positions are open:

1) Build time optimization of MN RAN L2 regression campaigns for 5G.

MN RAN L2 relies on a strong “Continuation Integration” (CI) chain ensuring compliancy of the 5G scheduler against all requirements and highest standards of quality. The test pipeline includes more than 4000 tests which are executed at each commit. You will participate to the exciting project aiming at significantly reducing the memory footprint, taking advantage of last techniques in the industry, to make the CI more green-friendly, save cloud resources and energy.

Student from Engineering School specialized in telecommunications and/or programming.Basic knowledge of C++ and Python. Good English level and good skills in communication and presentation.
