In this role, you will join the Engineering team. You will be working closely together with product and program managers, developers and architects of all SaaS Platforms and be a key contributor in a large organization that is responsible for the engineering and evolution of SAP Sovereign Cloud's product portfolio. You will have the opportunity to solve the complex challenges of scale and security which are unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud, while using your ability in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. You will engage closely with the SAP Sovereign Cloud Operations, Platform, and Application engineering teams and jointly help to ensure that relevant SAP product development teams can execute against their requirements backlog derived from government security control frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining and implementing the build, deployment and monitoring standards for customers
- Drive the innovations and build tool sets for local cloud delivery and operations team.
- Be part of Agile development teams to deliver an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment;
- Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks;
- Work closely with SAP Lob and Local cloud delivery and operations team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system;
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Cloud services such as AWS EC2, S3, GCP Compute Engine, Object Storage, Azure Compute etc.
- Implementation Experience with CI/CD pipelines e.g. Jenkins, ConcourseCI, ArgoCD, Azure Pipelines, CircleCI, GitLab.
- Knowledge/Certification on hyperscaler infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- Infra Automation skills using git, ansible, and terraform
- Solid experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments
- Strong scripting skills in any one of the following: shell scripts(bash/zsh),Ruby, Python,
- Strong Knowledge and experience on Helm tool is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of programming languages preferred: Python, Go, Groovy, Java, RustGo, Groovy, etc;

- Persistence, self-motivation and willingness to work under pressure
- English (fluent)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 years of experience Automation experience in at least one programming language Python,Groovy,GoLang,Shell
- Minimum 6 years in DevOps role
