YOUR FUTURE ROLE

In this role you will become a member of the Quality Engineering team, and will be working closely together with release managers, engineering/product/program managers, developers, and architects. You will be responsible for developing and executing test cases to support the overall solution release process. The QA Job function works collaboratively with all participants in software deployment projects.  You will have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale and security which are unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud, while using your expertise in automated testing, software delivery, developing test cases and defect resolution. You will engage closely with the SAP Sovereign Cloud operations, infrastructure, platform, and application teams and jointly help to ensure that relevant SAP product development teams can execute against their requirements backlog derived from government security control frameworks.

You will participate in the overall Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and executing test cases for releases in each Cloud Landscape for multiple applications across various portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements, hardware upgrades or migrations. You will work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to identify defects, track defect remediation, and include software or solution updates required to resolve issues in future release plan.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field

• Understanding, knowledge of software development lifecycle

• Experience with Agile Frameworks and Regression Testing

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional tasks to completion.

• Advanced time management and process adherence skills

• Advanced knowledge of analysis and trace tools across multiple applications.

• Strong methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking

• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams

• Communication and interpersonal skills

• English (fluent)

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of previous QA or release management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred)

• 3+ years of experience in cloud operations environment, solution support, and management or development
