Your key responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders, leading and supporting an SRM team responsible for Technology Professional Services in supporting business owners in achieving their goals and objectives reliant on supplier performance of contract obligations.
  • Provide exceptional service to stakeholders while delivering both brand and quantitative value through contract value realization
  • Lead a team of supplier relationship managers (SRMs) in execution of the Global Procurement SRM framework
  • Ensure the successful delivery of strategic SRM services provided by third parties specifically in support of our Technology Professional Services suppliers
  • Understand our global supplier footprint, types of contracts signed, and supplier deliverables and obligations as defined in the contracts, demonstrating a strong understanding of the category and building/driving the future roadmap
  • Have a strong understanding of key suppliers in the professional services category, their capabilities and their position in the market, and their holistic relationship with EY
  • Ensure SRM engagement with business stakeholders, procurement managers and supplier account teams
  • Work with senior stakeholders to help develop a supplier strategy which aligns with the overall global SRM strategy
  • Help suppliers be successful in delivering their services at EY
  • Drive improvements in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting
  • Build strong relationships with business partners including EY Technology, Legal (GCO), Global Client Serving Partners, Sector Leaders, Finance etc.
  • Manage the training, development and performance of team members, helping them develop their leadership, strategic development skills, supplier relationship management expertise and people management skills
  • Ensure consistent use of the SRM framework
  • Manage a portfolio of global Technology Professional Services suppliers including monitoring, measuring and reporting on overall performance (via tools such as scorecards, customer satisfaction surveys), relationship management, chairing meetings, and managing issues escalations
  • Responsible for coaching and development of direct and/or indirect counselees; including annual performance management programs


Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong business acumen and commercial skills to drive supplier relationship management strategies across a broad array of portfolios for the Global Procurement function
  • Understanding of the commercial drivers and measurement of supplier performance
  • Strong negotiator and influencer capable of driving alignment with key senior stakeholders and leaders, as well as senior supplier representatives
  • Solid team leadership and communication skills
  • Collaborative team member valuing cooperation and teamwork
  • Extensive knowledge of the SRM landscape and key suppliers, with deep understanding of Professional Services offerings
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • The ability to drive change by building strong, trusting relationships with senior stakeholders, business partners and suppliers
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Strong problem solving, relationship management and organizational skills


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Business Degree or relevant experience for role demonstrable in a similar industry
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience including experience within Professional Services areas
  • People management experience
  • Ability for domestic and/or international travel for strategic planning, supplier and stakeholder meetings, people management, project coordination and implementation as may be required;<5%


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English
  • Experience with a global, culturally diverse organization
  • Experience leading and working collaboratively, virtually and independently
  • Excellent business and IT industry awareness
  • Experience of managing large ($10m+), long term contractual relationships
  • Experience specifically with global technology professional services suppliers in the field of Application development and support
