Job purpose:

Professionals with expertise and prior work experience on one or more of Banking areas (any of the below)

• Retail and Corporate Banking: Deposits, Loans, Cash, Collections, Payments, Forex, Trade Finance, Liquidity Management, KYC
• Lending (Securitized, Unsecure, Mortgages)
• Payments and Cards – Payment networks, Switch
• Regulatory and Compliance
• Treasury and Investment Banking
• Wealth Management

As a Technical SME for Core Banking Modernization, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing core banking solutions that meet the needs of our customers and business stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, testers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive business. Technical experience of working on defining banks solution and technology architecture, interfaces specification and data model mapping. Experience on process workflow tools & mapping & API tools and core banking solutions such as Infosys Finacle, Temenos T24, FIS profile/Modern Banking Platform, Oracle Core Banking and any Next Gen Core Banking platform would be added advantage.

Your client responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design scalable and efficient software solutions for core banking implementation.
• Develop and maintain core banking applications, modules, and functionalities using programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, and frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET Core, or Django.
• Implement and integrate core banking modules, including but not limited to accounts management, transactions processing, customer relationship management (CRM), and reporting/analytics.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for core banking systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) engineers to ensure that software solutions meet quality standards, including functional requirements, performance benchmarks, and security best practices.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to automate build, deployment, and release processes, and ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines are robust and reliable.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and share best practices to promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence within the development team.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in core banking systems, software development, and financial services, and incorporate relevant insights into project planning and execution.

Technical:

• 7+ years of experience years of experience as a software developer, with a focus on core banking systems, financial services, or related domains.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, or similar, and related frameworks and libraries.
• Hands-on experience with core banking platforms, such as Temenos T24, FIS Core Banking, Fiserv DNA, Oracle FLEXCUBE, or similar systems, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and proficiency in SQL and database design.
• Familiarity with modern software development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio), and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

• MBA/ MCA/ BE/ BTech or equivalent with banking industry experience of 7 to 12 years
