As an Engineering Manager, you'll lead a diverse, high-performing team to deliver Firmware for Ring devices. You will have an enormous opportunity to impact the customer experience, design, architecture, and implementation and release of ring devices that will be released.You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance customer and business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will need to:
- Work with engineers to define technical and product requirements and priorities

Strong Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage engineering teams.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of embedded software development principles, technologies, and best practices.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align software development efforts with business objectives.
Experience: Typically requires 3+ years of engineering team management experience and 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
Designing and Architecting: Experience in designing and architecting new and existing systems.

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC):
Proven track record of managing the entire SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and deployments.
Agile Methodologies:
Experience with Agile development methodologies and a strong understanding of their strengths and weaknesses.
Technologies:
Knowledge of technologies like RTOS, C, C++.
