As a Senior Software Engineer on our team, you will lead initiatives around service reliability, availability, quality, security, and usability. You will interact with new and existing customers, gather feedback, and translate it into actionable roadmaps and plans. Your skills and
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,
- Demonstrable experience running a highly distributed Web service in Azure or other cloud providers
- Demonstrable technical leadership experience, with demonstrable results including collaborating with external stakeholders
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Open source and Linux experience is a strong plus
People management experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives around security, quality, availability,reliabilityandnew feature
- Conduct architecture design sessions with partners,stakeholdersand the team. Present designs to stakeholders and leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to build a deep understanding of customer requirements and constraints.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Resolve conflict and build consensus effectively.
- new ideasand ways of working to increase developer productivityon
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and work to respond to live site incidents, restore service, and enhance the product to prevent them from happening again. Our engineers are currently on-callfor two weeksapproximatelyevery4 months.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the highest level of code quality.
