What you will do:

• Learn from senior engineers and mentors to develop deeper understanding of OpenShift (Kubernetes) and OpenStack, Linux, Distributed Systems in order to design, document, and develop new features and bug fixes, integrating OpenShift on OpenStack

• Help creating or enhancing end-to-end and unit tests to thoroughly test developed software

• Collaborate with Software Quality Engineers to review and enhance test plans

• Collaborate and land code upstream and across several Red Hat development projects

• Help maintain upstream CI infrastructure and tests

• Operate in a globally distributed environment using various written and verbal forms of communication, including video meetings, Slack, E-Mail, and documentation

What you bring:

• A passion for Open Source development with a strong interest in Linux and/or Kubernetes

• Proficiency in developing and debugging applications using languages such as Go, Rust, C/C++, Python or Bash

• Ability to learn from and collaborate with a cross-functional team

• Experience with Git

• Communicative English level

The Following Are Considered a Plus

• Experience developing or administering distributed systems

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible or Terraform

• Can demonstrate a strong interest in Cloud Infrastructure Topics, such as Software Defined Networking, Storage, or Containers
