The team is also be responsible for performing and conducting end to end testing across multiple environments of Party Central (1.0 and 2.0), COLT, GEMS and RMS applications on projects related to product enhancements, production fixes, operational releases, data integrity, platform conversions and regulatory reporting.
Job Responsibilities
Service Desk:
- Facilitate Daily Production issue call with Reference Data Technology and provide update to end users
- Effectively listen to issues and assess the underlying client need in order to provide a resolution in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with RDT PRD, PRD Operations, Product Owners and Change Management teams for addressing/resolving issues
- Publish daily/weekly/monthly metrics and KPIs to PRD Senior Management on issues/inquiries
- SME for business process, system functionality and data content to facilitate issue resolution
Test Function Support:
- Able to identify the test objective of each scenario to ensure application behavior/system functionality is in-line with user story/business requirement
- Ensure Test Plan and Test Steps are set-up in test management tool against user stories across different test cycles
- Perform exhaustive and comprehensive testing (positive, negative and regression scenarios) in multiple environments
- Upload test execution evidences in test management tool and PO SharePoint site to substantiate the outcome.
- Ensure defects are raised, tracked, reported and closed in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Product Owner and Development team for identifying root cause of the defect and means to resolving them.
- Ensure high risk defects / showstoppers are escalated appropriately with Product Owner and Development Team to ensure overall release timelines, project delivery are not impacted
- Give Demo/Showcases to end users in the UAT environments on product enhancements / issue fixes
- Conduct triage meetings with stakeholders
- Ensure end users understand the test requirements and don't raise defects that are not in-line with the original requirements
- Follow-up with stakeholders in a timely manner to ensure UAT sign-offs are acquired and provided to Development Team within the stipulated timelines for final implementation
- Work closely with Product Owner and Development Team for implementation plan per Agile release and identify the set of activities/task that need to perform on the release date.
- Support release management production checkout activities
- Active participation in Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning and Demo/Showcases
- Publish daily end of day status reports with KPIs including to Senior Management, Product Owners and Development Team
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions with Internal Party Operations teams on monthly releases to ensure team is aware of changes to existing functionality or introduction of new functionalities which might impact existing Op-Model
Qualifications & Competencies required for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree + 5-7 years relevant experience in financial services organization
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Prior experience in Manual functional testing is required
- Experience with JIRA, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, Business Objects and SQL is preferred
- Experience in automating testing leveraging Selenium web driver with Java is preferred
- Have an understanding of the Agile framework and Project Lifecycle standards
- Solid analytical skills
- Sound communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
