Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Commercial Lending Post Close Review Specialist to join our newly established team in Arizona. This role involves ensuring that commercial loan documentation is accurate, compliant, and meets state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lending, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze commercial loan documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with state, federal, regulatory and internal standards.

  • Verify that all documentation is complete, correctly worded, and adheres to loan terms.

  • Identify and document exceptions to the Lender.

  • Ensure loans meet policy and procedure guidelines and can perform in the event of default.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of commercial lending regulations and industry standards.

  • Adapt and expand knowledge continually to stay current with regulatory changes and procedural updates.

  • Collaborate with team members to achieve quality and production goals as per service level agreements (SLAs).

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Typically six to eight years of relevant experience in commercial lending or a related field.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Proven knowledge of legal documents used to support applicable loan/lease processing.

  • Proven knowledge of closing policies and procedures, funding policies, underwriting requirements, governmental and agency requirements, terminology, and automated processing systems.

  • Proven knowledge of applicable credit policies and approval processes for assigned product(s).

  • Experience with large commercial transactions and working with attorneys.

  • Knowledge of state and federal commercial lending regulation.

  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and procedures relating to state and federal commercial lending regulation.

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to apply critical thinking for all elements of loan documentation construction.

  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast paced, high production, professional environment.

  • Excellent decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to adapt to new information and processes, demonstrating a willingness to learn.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse team and external parties.

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $21.88 - $29.13 - $32.04 U.S. Bank accepts applications for this position on an ongoing basis.
