Your Role and Responsibilities As an AIX Administrator L3, he/she will lead the administration, optimization, and support of AIX (Advanced Interactive eXecutive) systems within the organization. This advanced-level position requires a deep understanding of AIX principles, technologies, and best practices, coupled with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of AIX environment. You will need to visit the domestic client’s offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.
Responsibilities:
AIX System Administration Leadership: Lead the administration and maintenance of AIX systems, overseeing installation, configuration, tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement optimization strategies to ensure the efficient operation of AIX environments.
Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect AIX systems from internal and external threats, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for AIX environments, ensuring business continuity and data protection.
Patch Management: Develop and implement patch management strategies to keep AIX systems up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates.
Backup and Restoration: Establish backup and restoration procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of data on AIX systems in the event of data loss or corruption.
Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning activities to forecast resource requirements and ensure scalability and performance of AIX environments.
Documentation and Training Leadership: Develop comprehensive documentation for AIX systems and processes, providing leadership in training and knowledge transfer to team members and end-users.Needs to have a thorough understanding of, and are able to articulate, IBM’s technical support strategy.
Candidates on the L3 Category should have 5 years relevant experience.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Min 8+ years of experience with experience in the following areas:
AIX installation/Upgradation/Patch Management
NIM based installation and administration.
Hardware health checkup/Logs Collection
System Monitoring/Performance Monitoring/data collection.
Start/Stop, reboot OS as and when required.
LVM, FileSystem and NFS Management.
Storage Attachment and multi-pathing Configuration.
User Administration.
OS Hardening as per Client/Audit Security policy.
Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
BE / B. Tech Computer Science, MCA or Equivalent / higher Qualification
