Operations Engineer
Reporting to the Operations Lead for the IPT, in this role as Operations Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the production shopfloor in meeting the Production and Commercialisation Schedule, supporting compliance within the Quality Management Systems pertaining to Production Controls, Data Integrity and Cross Contamination, and supporting critical projects to continually develop the facility and improve our ways of working.
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
- ProvideOperational/Technicalsupport for OSD strategic projects.
- Provide support for the ongoing development of the Lean production system (MPS).
- Lead continuous improvement projects in production to deliver IPT targets using appropriate Lean tools within our management system to improve Quality, Productivity and Lead Time.
- Provide back-up standard ownership for Production controls Topic 6.5
- Operations Digital Visual Factory support – focus on paperless operations and utilisation of Power BI, Spotfire, O365 tools, e-logs, eshopfloor to support digitisation.
- Development and management of standard work boards; update and creation where required.
- Commercialisation support -operationalisationof clinical and development campaigns and planning and supporting execution of any non-standard activities
- Author Operations related Deviations. Provide Operational expertise on other ancillary deviations.
- GMP compliance – completion of factory walkdowns and closure of observations.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- A Third Level qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering or Science discipline OR, Relevant Manufacturing Formulation experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
- Interest and experience in Digital tools an advantage (Power BI, Spotfire, O365 tools, eshopfloor etc)
- Knowledge of process capacity analysis, standard work, problem solving etc.
- SAP/MES knowledge/experience
- Project management
