Job responsibilities
- Demonstrate a level of understanding of market reference data, and preferably a background within index processing
- Knowledge and practical understanding of Financial Services Industry businesses (i.e., wealth management, retail, wholesale well as operations and technology functions)
- Experience at using various market vendor terminals such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters, etc.
- Ideal candidate is likely to have previous experience either from Asset Management, Fund accounting, Hedge Funds or market data vendors.
- Good technical ability with core Microsoft products.
- Strong communications skills both written and verbal
- Experience in liaising pro-actively with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Fund Accountants, Index Vendors, and Operational support teams
- The individual will need to have a proactive approach and take ownership and responsibility for key tasks and issue resolution, with the ability to learn new processes quickly and execute them accurately. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and have confidence in interacting with senior management and business partners.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and reasoning skills (e.g., adheres to best practices in meeting management, regularly completes tasks and conducts business with no supervision over email, produces review-ready documentation)
- Awareness of data-related industry regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
