Jacobs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Sports Architect with Stadiums and Multi-purpose arena related experience to join one of our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for the management and design leadership of large-scale projects, including stadiums, from bidding to delivery. You will play a crucial role in the progressive evolution of the company’s ethos, research activities, and technical development. With a focus on stadium experience, you will ensure innovative design solutions that enhance fan engagement, operational efficiency, and sustainability. Also, you will integrate advanced technologies and adhere to accessibility standards to create world-class sports facilities.
• Lead the design and development of stadium projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor the stadium design to specific needs and preferences.
• Oversee architectural design, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Act as the project’s design coordinator/integrator and contributes (fully or partially) to the overall design management activities.
• Develop innovative design solutions that enhance the fan experience and operational efficiency.
• Responsible for the architectural resource planning and commercial management for the project and report project needs to the business.
• Design and constructability assessment, technical and QAQC reviews.
• Prepare and review design reports and project specifications.
• Ability to manage and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Full understanding of scope definition and scope interface and change management.
• Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements, knowledge of codes, regulations and submission requirements.
• Ability to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider architectural community.
• B.Arch or B.Sc in Architecture.
• Working knowledge of Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Sketchup and associated presentation tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office suites.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale stadium projects
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience.
• International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent).
• Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent).
