What You Bring:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experiencein applied machine learning and data science in a product environment, preferably in security or a related domain.
• You have experience in cybersecurity , including understanding threat detection, network security, or adversarial ML.
• You have the ability to take projects from research to production , bridging theory and real-world application.
• You have analytical skills and the ability to work with large-scale data in cloud environments.
• You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with security data and ML to develop capabilities for security products .
• Familiarity with large-scale graph analytics and deep learning architectures .

- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

What You’ll Do:

• As a Senior Applied Scientist , you will work at the intersection of security, AI, and large-scale data. You’ll collaborate with security experts, engineers, and product managers to develop innovative solutions that detect malicious activities and enhance cybersecurity defense mechanisms.
• Develop and apply generative AI , supervised and unsupervised learning , graph algorithms , anomaly detection , and statistical modeling to improve security solutions.
• Own projects end-to-end: from ideation and research to production deployment, ensuring impactful results.
• Work with diverse teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and security researchers, in a highly collaborative environment where knowledge-sharing is key.
• Translate complex problems into scalable, real-world solutions that help customers stay ahead of threats.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership within the team, helping shape best practices and drive innovation.
