As a Windows Server & Storage Admin -L2 Level, you will be give support to our clients remotely or onsite location depending on the situation and will have expertise in Wintel domain area. You will be involved in troubleshooting and operational maintenance of Server & Storage Products. You are expected to work on Cisco, Dell, HP, Lenovo Servers, Virtualization and IBM/EMC/Hitachi Storage products or solutions based on any vendor hardware /vendor operating system with little or minimum support from superiors. E.g. include: Skills on Server/ Storage / Load balancer/ Windows & Linux Operating System. Typical examples of the other deliverables would be of deploying, managing and implementing Wintel solutions to address client business requirements. You will need to visit the domestic client’s offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.
Responsibilities:
Install, Monitor, Configure, troubleshoot and Support the Physical and Virtual Server Environment, including various platforms and vendors.
Configure, Manage and Monitor highly scalable Physical and Virtual Storage Environment, including multiple SAN’s, NAS’s and other storage devices.
Install, Configure, Test and Update Server Operating Systems and related server-class software and monitoring systems.
Provides Infrastructure Support for Enterprise Applications, including meeting with Business and Application Owners to define requirements prior to project implementation.
Design and implement new server or storage infrastructure, as well as provide day-to-day monitoring, capacity planning and management of the existing estate.
To evaluate and apply any necessary operating system security patches, hotfixes, service packs and hardware updates.
You will be expected to provide technical support on critical Server & Storage Infrastructure, to perform maintenance and repairs the breakdown situations
Experience in IT infrastructure projects, planning, implementation, and administration across multiple domains, as well as experience in end- to-end IT Operations.
Diploma or Graduation degree in Computers or equivalent.
Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5 Years of Experience in Supporting Server & Storage Infrastructure.
Experience in support of Cisco UCS Servers / Dell Servers / Lenovo Servers / HP Servers/ VMs/ Storage products.
Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.
Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems
Managing user access.
Monitoring system performance.
Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups
Experience of DHCP, DNS Server, Active Directory etc.
Experience in working with Windows operating system is required.
Experience in installing, supporting, and maintaining server and storage hardware.
Ability to lead projects related to IT changes, IT setup and new process setup by coordination with multiple arms of IT team.
Demonstrate Problem Solving & analytical skills in IT Infrastructure domain both IT hardware & software / applications Experience in projects, planning, implementation, and administration in multiple domains.
Documentation skills for generating process and procedure documents is added advantage.
Basic Cloud knowledge is required
