What You’ll Do
Responsible forproject ownership and execution, which requires understanding/managing thescope and schedule and keeping all parties in sync.
Overall managementof EPC sub-contractors for all phases of construction of projects includingdesign, construction, commissioning and completion
Understand andmanage the grid connection agreement during construction and testing phases
Interface with andmanage internal and external stakeholders, from contracting stage throughexecution and handover to Service
Identify gaps inscope and responsibility to ensure project success. This requires acomprehensive understanding of engineering, construction, and permittingconcepts and rules of conduct
Where relevant,support the finance team and supply information to ensure Tesla’s overallcompliance with the internal agreements and targets
Ensure all works ofTesla employees and contractors are carried out in a safe, high quality,efficient manner in the spirit of continuous improvement
Adhere tocontractual conditions to ensure compliance and Tesla’s subsequent compliancewith upstream agreements
Prepare regularreports on project status and risk
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor inEngineering (Civil or Electrical Preferred)
5+ years of end toend project management experience
Experiencedelivering registered generators in the NEM
Experience inrenewables desirable
PMP/PMCcertification preferred
CAD skills required
Ability to travelup to 50% of the time (mostly local travel but occassionally internationaltravel will be required)
Knowledge ofconstruction contracts, subcontracts, and the bid process
Ability to managefield construction activities and labor
Basic knowledge ofcommercial electrical systems
Understanding ofTNSP and AEMO requirements
Ability to managemultiple budgets and schedules
Highly motivatedself-starter, able to critically think through problems that arise
Ability to workcross functionally with engineering, business development, and constructionpersonnel.
