Job Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain API endpoints to support functionality required in the web portal
• Design scalable and robust architectures for coordinating multiple backend services
• Build new API features to increase API value and usability
• Collaborate with web developers to support web application functionality
• Promote best practices within the team and organization
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise in various environments

Job Skills Required

• Strong experience with Python
• Experience building API endpoints
• Ability to identify gaps in existing functionality and advocate for solutions
• Ability to translate high level requirements into technical details
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with test driven development, ranging from unit testing to end to end testing

Additional Assets

• Web development experience (TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular)
• Understanding of networking and security concepts
• Experience with Swagger or other API documentation tools
• Experience with Flask
• Docker

Educational Requirements

A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $81,000 - $110,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
