This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.
Develop robust commercial strategies for the Fleet Team with consideration to quality, cost, speed, service requirements, market conditions, risks/exposures, competitive landscape, and projected changes over the strategic planning horizon. Expertise in tracking/monitoring global industry trends, suppliers’ capabilities, and overall supply chain flow.
Partner with Buying Operations Team and SBG cross-functional stakeholders (i.e., ISC, Finance, Tax, Treasury, etc.) to ensure alignment and support of category strategy and execution. Facilitate regular engagement across all SBG’s to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned commodity space.
Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to Honeywell.
Execute the annual operating plan (AOP) through year-over-year improvements in productivity, working capital, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
Lead competitive bid (RFP), negotiate, and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies while maximizing benefit (i.e., total cost of ownership) to Honeywell.
Build strong technical solutions including new technology, VA/VE, CE product and cost improvements with supply base supporting new product/solution introductions.
Learn, understand, and comply w/ company business policies and procedures, Export/Import regulations.
BS/BA Degree or advanced degree in engineering related field
5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing & negotiating experience, to include at minimum, 4 years in an indirect procurement function at a multinational corporation with global contracts
In-depth experience in best-in-class procurement practices (i.e., category management, spend analysis, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, negotiating/contracting, economic/market trends, etc.).
Extensive knowledge of basic commercial agreement structures, function, & purpose of key legal terms.
Knowledge and experience with SAP or site relevant ERP systems, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
Strong negotiator with proven experience in setting strategies and achieving favorable terms; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects (i.e., project management) requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
