The Role:
To excel in this role as Coordinator, you must have strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail. You must be a great verbal and written communicator, able to juggle and prioritize multiple responsibilities at the same time, and be self-motivated, quick and strategic-thinking and adaptable to change. You must have a sharp judgment and a high attention to detail. You must have the ability to work proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the LatAm Legal Consumer Products team based in CDMX and Sao Paulo and the Marketing - Ads Legal team based in CDMX , as well as counterparts in various Content Legal functions to extract and synthesize information necessary to guide the Consumer Products and the Marketing-Ads teams as they develop their products and programs.
Responsibilities:- Review and synthesize data points from consumer products agreements into the CP database. Uploading contract terms into the database, collaborating with Finance/Accounting as payment or reporting issues arise, and managing deal renewals/expirations.
- Using existing tools and services, oversee local compliance checks and licensee vetting, in partnership with the Global Ethics & Compliance team.
- Drafting of amendments/extensions to existing agreements, trademark authorization letters, schedules for grants of rights, etc. in collaboration with local CP counsel.
- Partnering with CP Operations and other Contracts Specialists to identify operational efficiencies or system improvements.
- Conducting legal analysis and clearance in connection with the use of promotional materials on the Netflix platform.
- Working closely with creative teams to ensure that local promotional materials comply with Netflix standards (e.g. talent approvals, licensed footage, etc.)
- Organizing and tracking relevant information about advertising sales deals, legal guidelines, talent agreements, etc.
Qualifications:- 4+ years of relevant experience as a coordinator, contract manager, or paralegal, ideally including familiarity and interest in the space of licensing or entertainment transactions. Experience in entertainment and/or law firms or legal departments is a plus.
- Interest in operational tooling and rights/contracts management systems (no technical experience required).
- Great flexibility, and the ability to manage a large number of agreements and to work cross-functionally with minimal supervision are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of asking questions and seeking information cross-functionally and at all levels of the business. Strong analytical capabilities and judgment.
- Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise. Ability to take initiative to identify and solve problems in a business-friendly and solutions-oriented manner
- Ability to work autonomously, reliably and proactively within tight timeframes in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

- Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Airtable, Google Suite and similar programs.
- English and Spanish fluency; some Portuguese preferred.
