Job Summary

As a NetApp IT Project Manager you are part of a team of professionals who plan, manage and deliver projects to meet defined deliverables, processes, and tools. As part of the IT function projects address the development, documentation, creation of performance metrics, debugging, deployment, and support of IT systems globally. IT Project Managers operate in a cross-functional role and may have specific expertise in functional areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Application Integration, Data Warehousing, etc. Project management, strong communication, and excellent technical skills are required for success in this role.
As an IT Project Manager you will:
• Coordinate functional groups’ responsibilities and deliverables with respect to process and system initiatives.
• Define and gain approval for business requirements, process modeling deliverables, project plans and charters.
• Determine project cost and project timing based on scope and complexity of the project.
• Track, develop and create release calendar for project implementation.
• Track each project schedule and create a project plan with input from the cross-functional team.
• Schedule, attend and record meetings notes.
• Update website with all information related to the project status.
• Develop and create corporate communications plans to affected customers and stakeholders.
• Manage projects in compliance with the NetApp Project Development Lifecycle and associated deliverables to ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts.
• Work with developers to translate requirements into technical specifications.


Job Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.
• Ability to conduct user workshops, define requirements, estimate, assess and plan projects, write use and business cases, and design workflow processes.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, It Service operations, business process realignment and the financial and political elements of an IT organization.
• Experience in business process re-engineering methods.
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and utilizing project management applications.
• Strong user of Microsoft Project and Visio.
• Creative approach to problem solving.
