For our constantly growingSupplier Engineer (m/f/d)whofinds solutions for internal and/or external requirements; recommends process, product orservice improvements.Furthermore, ensures that suppliers are carefully selected so that we can guarantee our standards of quality, value, delivery and technology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of the technical requirements of new and existing products.

  • Apply knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to thedesign departmentthat would result in savings, shorter lead times,system improvements,longer lifespan, and/or risk mitigation.

  • Working withproduct development teamsand suppliers to ensure that professional and manufacturable design is taken into account when developing new products (NPI / DfX).

  • Implementation of supplier visits, product audits and acceptances at home and abroad

  • Continuous participation insupplier selection processesto develop a supplier base that offers competitive advantages in terms of quality, cost, delivery reliability and technology

  • Conducting system audits of suppliers to assess capabilities and performance, as well as initiating and tracking continuous improvements

  • Conducting technical audits of suppliers with an assessment of capabilities and capabilities, as well as initiating and tracking continuous improvements of the supplier

  • Training, supporting, and monitoring theProduct Qualification Program(PQP) for critical parts with suppliers

  • Supportingproduct development teamsin collaboration with qualified suppliers in the selection and implementation of new, advancedmanufacturing technologies

  • Error handling (8D)Monitoring of the measures until successful implementation, includingeffectiveness control.Analysis of the causes of errors, determination of corrective actions in cooperation with the appropriate departments and corresponding suppliers


Education and experience:

  • A degree as a technician or engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience.

  • Technical / electrical expertise, coupled withproblem-solving skills

  • Hands-on experience with supplier audits andquality management systems,including internal audits, quality andrisk management tools,including FMEA and quality planning.

  • Analytical and organizational skills with an understanding of best practices in the manufacturing process or technical manufacturing at suppliers.

  • Team player with effective interpersonal skills.

  • Strong communication skills in German and English, verbally as well as in writing

  • Willingness to take part in local and international business trips
