Key Responsibilities:
Lead analyses of sales, revenue and other commercial data to develop performance insights, to guide strategic decision-making, and support continuous development of our multi-channel revenue strategy
Own and support various flights strategy projects - create commercial and financial models including in-depth Business cases to support flights revenue strategy development
Price experimentation - Recommend changes in price optimisation beginning with a hypothesis, identify and build experiment opportunities, determine the key metrics and set up - then evaluate the results with in-depth analysis and presenting the finding clearly to multiple stakeholders
Develop analyses to drive insight into our pricing competitiveness in the market and create winning pricing strategies together with the Mgr - Flights Revenue Optimisation
Stay on the pulse of our performance - meet with key stakeholders to identify potential drivers, present analysis and insights to what drove the current trend and forecast what we can expect in the future and effectively distill and communicate across the Flights business
Participate in cross-team strategic projects in Flights and other verticals, being the champion for revenue management principles and requirements. Providing the commercial voice and input to help drive revenue growth
Build reports and dashboards to enhance performance reporting and enable data access to other teams to easily share insights to business leadership
Support the development of forward-looking predictive reporting tools to forecast transaction performance against budget targets and inform strategic decision-making across the organization.
Work with the flights data team, to develop business reporting and data intelligence in key areas
Collaborate with product teams to drive innovation in strategy development and execution, leveraging insights from data analysis to inform product development decisions.
Aggregate and interpret various complex data sources to build a complete picture across multiple channels and data providers for your business area, harnessing it to find the key opportunities to optimize and drive growth
Take an active role in mentoring more junior team members
Role Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate has at least 5+ years experience in a highly analytical commercial role
Very strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills - identifying connections and trends in data and distilling them into insights and viable strategies for the business
Knowledge of SQL and other data gathering and analysis techniques or experience using business intelligence tools (like Microstrategy) to access and report data
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and analytical reasoning
Excellent communication skills and presentation skills (both verbal and written); the ability to convey complex ideas and analysis clearly and with conviction to all levels of stakeholders
Team player with strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
Innovative, creative and a strong commercial sense
Ability and preference to take ownership, entrepreneurial, proactive with positive attitude, a self-starter who can manage multiple initiatives/priorities at once
Experience in sales/pricing/revenue management in the airline, flights OTA, transport industries or similar e-commerce roles is highly desirable
