Consulting – Finance
We’re looking for Senior Manager with expertise indomainto join the global EY - Finance Consulting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.
- Build and develop client relationship with our regional stake holders
- Own and develop our offerings and assets
- Provide innovative and customer focused RFP and RFI responses. Provide suitable customer focused solutions which will enable EY win deals
- Develop, design and optimise client service business processes for efficiency and high performance.
- Undertaking sales origination, including working with client teams to identify opportunities
- Actively reviews and explore opportunities to improve, optimize and enhance ways of working
- Leverage and improve various frameworks, methodologies, solutions specific to our offerings
- Lead, plan and manage a high performing team to deliver quality outcomes aligned to Time and Quality metrics
- Lead team to develop articulate presentations that communicate proposals, strategies, plans and outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to present ideas clearly and concisely; ability to prepare presentations for senior-level client stakeholders
Your key responsibilities include but not limited to
- Account management, business development
- Lead proposals related to our offerings and take them successfully to clients
- Lead proposals, solutions and RFP / RFI responses related to our offerings and take them successfully to clients
- Should be available to work on client timings as we have global client base
- Leading projects that ensure high quality advisory and consulting services to major clients, preferably with a practical approach as learned during working in the business
- Creating / contributing to the creation of new services, tools and materials to be more successful on the market
- Achievement of ambitious targets for growth, utilization, and operational excellence and consistent implementation of EY policies and tools to enable these priorities while supporting the engagement of our people
- Involvement in people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training professionals and act as a role model
- Active participation in the creation and maintenance of an environment that enables the team to manage delivery effectively and achieve the highest quality
- Maintain relationships with the client’s management to manage the expectations of service.
- Knowledge of Finance domain and FS sector and preferably a large network in this field
- Experience in GBS set up activities such as activity analysis, cost baselining, Location assessment, Business case creation, Target Model design, etc.
- Working knowledge of GBS / SSC setup engagements. Knowhow of the Business Transition assignments and related activities
- Experience / knowledge around finance functions or other sectors like Banking, Insurance, Wealth Asset Management, Supply Chain
- Strong accounting skills and understands financial reports and statements
- Knowledge on Financial Consolidation, Cost Allocation, Finance Planning and Budgeting Processes
- Should have knowledge of activities in financial close of an organisation for month / Quarter / Annual close periods
- Good Knowledge on ledger and sub-ledger systems; technical know-how of SAP ERP / HANA, Oracle GL (good to have)
Good to have experience / exposure (the below skills are an added advantage for candidates):
- Translate business requirements to technical language and model (good to have)
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
- Managing / supervising teams of people on project work
- Open to travel (Domestic & International)
- Open to work in any shift
Skills and attributes for success
- Consulting experience is a good to have
- Good articulation skills are a must
- Creative Solutioning writing for Client RFPs and RFIs
- IFRS Certification or any Banking or Insurance certification is a good to have
- Confident & professional communication style
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
- Capability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
- Strong analytical skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills for interpreting the IFRS standards
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Commerce Graduate or MBA (Finance)
- Other professional degrees (like CPA, CFA, CMA) can be considered based on relevant working experience as required
- 15+ years of work experience in Business Transition / GBS / SSC setup activities
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills is a must
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Transformation done in various sectors, GBS / SSC Setup
- Project management skills
- Exposure to tools like ERP, HFM, Visio, ARIS, etc.
