As a Transaction Risk Management Portfolio Analyst in the CB Risk India team (CRI) which is part of the Credit Risk function for Commercial Bank at J.P. Morgan, you will work closely with Underwriters, Credit Executives & Bankers and provides them with in-depth risk analysis of clients use of treasury service products and treasury service facilities. CRI covers CB clients across the globe, primarily in North American and Europe. For conducting Analysis of Corporate clients in Transaction Risk Management Portfolio in as well as other clients as assigned from Commercial Banking division – North America.


Job responsibilities:

  • Assess treasury service risk for assigned middle market clients to determine if risk is appropriate.
  • Establish and review credit facilities that support treasury service products and cash secured cards & letters of credit.
  • Utilize transaction activity and facility usage information to respond to risk alerts and assess risk profile.
  • Provide treasury service risk mitigation recommendations for clients when warranted.
  • Understand various treasury service products and operating platforms.
  • Develop and maintain open communication channels with Coverage team including Bankers, Treasury Service Officers and Trade Finance. Independently handle all calls discussions with Bankers and Treasury Management Officers.
  • Build strong relationships and maintain open communication channels with client Coverage team to act as subject matter expert.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Graduates/Post graduates specialized in Finance
  • Excellent academic record; experience in credit risk desired
  • Knowledge of Treasury Service products and facilities
  • Strong grasp of corporate finance concepts and their application
  • Aptitude to learn and develop knowledge on credit facilities that support Treasury Service Products.
  • Strong communication skills — both oral and written; ability to effectively present analysis and interact with global bankers
  • Deadline orientation; close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel (including Risk Reporting) and Power Point
  • Ability to work proactively & independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build positive relationships with Underwriters/ RMs/TMOs
