Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive software functional specifications.
- Create detailed system software architecture specifications that align with product requirements.
- Engage in software development for platform infrastructure, device drivers, kernel, chassis control, and device management.
- Work on cutting-edge technologies including next-generation line cards, Ethernet, OTN, and Optical technologies.
- Perform detailed design, implementation, unit, and integration testing of device/kernel drivers and related software components.
- Partner with system and solution test teams to ensure thorough and accurate verification of software and components for real-world network deployments.
Requirements:
- BTech / MTech in CS/CE or a related field with 4+ years of proven experience.
- Extensive knowledge of data networking, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Routing.
- Proficiency in device drivers, system bring-up, and FreeBSD/Linux kernel.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in C, C++ programming, OO analysis & design, data structures, and system debugging.
- Solid understanding of firmware and hardware details for Linecard, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, and Flash Driver.
- Prior software development experience on networking products is a plus.
