As the Finance Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with Finance stakeholders to scope and prioritize reporting and analytic needs, designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and analyses. You will also serve as the primary data analytics partner to IT for finance-specific applications (NetSuite, Revpro, Concur, Navan) and will be responsible for designing proper data quality tests for finance analytics. This role requires both leadership and individual contribution, as you will be the first hire in this function.
What You Will be Doing- Collect, analyze and understand business reporting and insights needs to identify technical data and analytics requirements
- Understand and build end to end data flows and process maps
- Evaluate and prioritize new data analytics and insights project submissions, ensuring alignment with Finance org priorities
- Enhance and evolve Finance reporting capabilities and drive the adoption of best practices and aligned reporting frameworks
- Perform quantitative analysis and data mining to drive insight; present findings in a way to see beyond the numbers
- Create detailed metadata documentation for database tables and columns to improve data transparency and usability for end-users
- Establish the reporting and insights capabilities strategy that drive business decision making
- Monitor and maintain data quality, validation/audits, and governance for in-scope data domains
What You Bring Along- 5+ years of relevant work experience (Business Analytics, Data Modeling/Analytics, Data Management, Program Management)
- Prior experience working across different Finance stakeholders, e.g., FP&A, Revenue, Financial Reporting, etc.
- Strong understanding of Finance reporting principles and best practices
- Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making
- Experience working with enterprise wide data, structured and unstructured, joining large and complex data sets
- Experience with the following tools: SQL (writing and analyzing complex queries), Tableau/Power BI (defining data models and measures), dbt (modeling and transformation). Python knowledge a plus.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage dbt projects and collaborate with team members preferred
- Demonstrable ability to be agile, proactive and comfortable working in ambiguity and think creatively to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems
- “Bilingual” having an understanding of both the functional (business) needs and the analytics/technology
- Familiarity with data sourced from common Finance systems, e.g., NetSuite, Revpro
- Self-motivated and pragmatic, with a get-it-done mentality
