Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Manage high-profile communication projects and campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers.
  • Oversee the creation of content for various communication channels, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Analyze communication metrics and provide insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Mentor and guide junior communication specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Executive Communications:

  • Support communications for leaders within our Merchant business, developing and executing communication strategies that align with leadership vision and business objectives

  • Craft talking points, presentations, and messaging for internal and external engagements, ensuring consistency and alignment with PayPal’s broader company strategy

  • Develop an impactful external communication strategy to increase visibility and elevate PayPal’s reputation as a thought leader on key trends impacting global enterprises in today’s highly competitive environment

  • Develop comprehensive communications strategy to raise visibility of PayPal’s offerings for Enterprises, including media engagement, influencer programming and thought leadership.

  • Help curate and manage executive social media strategies, including LinkedIn, to effectively engage with target audiences, raise leadership visibility, and position PayPal as a leader in commerce

External Storytelling:

  • Support and execute external communication strategies that showcase the company's merchant/B2B story to media, customers, industry influencers, and the broader public

  • Coordinate thought leadership initiatives to promote PayPal’s merchant offerings, B2B innovation, and talent by positioning PayPal within key B2B trends, industry insights, and market dynamics

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling content, including articles, blog posts, and sponsored content

  • Cultivate brand advocates within the organization and empower them to share our merchant story through various channels.

  • Work closely with external agencies and partners to scale storytelling efforts, manage deliverables, and ensure message consistency across channels.

  • Establish measurement frameworks to evaluate the impact of external communications and optimize future initiatives based on performance data and industry benchmarks.

  • Monitor and help the team address potential issues

Internal Communications:

  • Support the development and execution of internal communication strategies that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization's technology vision and business priorities

  • Coordinate and optimize internal platforms and communication channels to ensure transparency, foster collaboration, and drive effective information flow throughout the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate, finance, or B2B/merchant communications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey complex financial concepts to various audiences

  • Experience working with executives and in collaborative environments

  • Track record of supporting successful thought leadership and external storytelling campaigns

  • Familiarity with current communications trends and a passion for businesses through innovative approaches

The US national annual pay range for this role is $76,500 to $126,500
