Primary job responsibilities

• Design and develop eBay tracking platform to help product and business teams to generate accurate and consistent data to facilitate decision making in eBay.
• Develop highly reliable, non-disruptive tracking agents for various types of user agents to automatically track user interactions with eBay products.
• Develop a high throughput and highly available data collection system to receive, validate, transform and send tracking data to downstream with robust monitoring and alerting.
• Develop scalable streaming and batch data processing systems to parse and analyze large volumes of data to build useful insights from raw tracking events.
• Relentless focus on quality and automation

Job requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Strong and solid software development background, mastering Java.
• Be experienced with building data application with Spark & Hadoop ecosystem
• Be experienced with building data application with stream-processing
• Working experience or knowledge of distributed system is preferred
• Working experience with user behavior tracking is not necessary but a plus.
• Working experience of Javascript, HTML/CSS and common JS libraries such as React is not necessary but a plus.
