Job responsibilities
- Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
- Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and minimum 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk SPL, including complex event processing and transformation.
- Proficiency in extracting customer requirements for logs, events, and metrics, and experienced in modeling and running ETL processes for big data management.
- Proficient in coding, preferably in Python or Java.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, observability, or mobile technologies.
- Commitment to continuous learning and exploring new technologies.
- Proven experience working in an agile team environment, utilizing methodologies like Scrum
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiar with automation as code and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or SALT/Puppet.
- Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch, Splunk, or Elastic is highly valued.
