Job Role expectations:

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in own discipline and broadens capabilities. Hands on experience with building and putting together a prototype or a complex mechanical machine
• Work with cross functional teams for extended design role for simulation requirements. Able to interpret simulation data and provide valuable solutions for further optimizations.
• Working experience on Control System applications in Semiconductor Domain
• Design, Develop, Implement & Validate advanced Controls for precision equipment, including robotics, motion control, and/or process control
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and process engineers to integrate and validate final control solution
• Perform a variety of tasks from CAD to detailing and documentation with minimal supervision
• Interact with vendors to define our specifications, analyze the information provided by vendors and drive manufacturing solutions
• Provide engineering support to optimize mechanical engineering layouts or schematics according to customer fab utility requirements and specifications.
• Generate related production drawings and BOM list for product release.
• Prepare test plans for components as and when needed. Participate whenever necessary.
• No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.
• Communicate effectively the design details and test results to a broad audience

Skills Needed:

• Requires strong skills in product technology, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Requires mechanical design experience that involves static structures, (and /or) dynamic parts or assemblies, (and /or) usage of pneumatic elements. Knowledge of Control Systems both Motion Controls.
• Worked on new product development, involved in the product design life cycle from the concept and feasibility phase to prototype development to hand off to high volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components for functional requirement and adopt engineering principles and technologies during equipment/ machine design.
• Requires working knowledge of GD&T applications.
• Experience of engineering change managements, analyze and trouble shoot to problems occurred.
• Requires working experience on CAD tools like Inventor and PDM tool Teamcenter to perform Job function.
• Knowledgeable on ERP products like SAP /Oracle for materials management.
• Excellent communicator can present his/her ideas clearly and can explain the approach to the solution of a technical problem succinctly.
• Fast learner, open to new ideas

Good to have

• Exposure to Semiconductor Engineering Environment.
• Extend capability for design of tool and fixtures, if any, to enable the handling, assembly /disassembly of components and sub-assemblies.

Functional Knowledge

• Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
• Knowledge on fluid system design any discipline is an added advantage

• To solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions

Interpersonal Skills

• Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view.
