What you will do
- The PSMG engineering unit leverages RDF (Resource Description Framework) technology to create an extensive knowledge graph containing a wealth of process-related metadata. This graph is the basis for shipping value accelerators and for building AI applications, such as large-language models (LLMs) on knowledge graphs.
- In this context, the unit developed a research prototype application for knowledge graph search and exploration (implemented in TypeScript and Python).
- The unit is looking for a highly motivated working student to coordinate efforts to integrate and refactor the prototype for productive internal usage. The goal is to ensure innovative capabilities based on research results can run on regularly updated datasets built from process content. The implementation should fulfill functional and non-functional requirements for enterprise-grade applications.
- This is a developer position; the candidate is expected to primarily write code.
- Depending on the candidate's qualifications and the study program's fit, PSMG can also offer master thesis topics to proven students, which can be related to current research questions in the area of data integration, knowledge graphs, and generative AI.
What you bring
- Completed B.Sc. in computer science, business informatics, data science, or a related academic field
- Fluency in English, ideally also in German
- Knowledge in programming
- Deep knowledge in either TypeScript or Python, ideally both
- Ideally knowledge of docker and kubernetes
- Knowledge of software development processes and best practices like unit testing and linting
- Knowledge in working with larger git projects
- Interest in data management, data modeling, and data science
- Excellent communication skills
Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships).
