Job responsibilities
- Be responsible for the planning, requirements gathering, management and execution of projects through a project plan and engagement of various functional groups (Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Business Management, Risk)
- Provide updates on the project status to senior management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with Front Office and Operations teams to design the strategic operating model
- Write business requirements for technology teams to implement the necessary changes to the operating model
- Plan and coordinate testing and regression testing of new functionality
- Perform sprit planning and retrospectives with the technology scrum teams
- Assess and prioritise continually the book of work to ensure that high value items are delivered
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum of 8 of years of experience in Project Management or Operations in the Banking Industry
- Solid knowledge of OTC derivative products including but not limited to FX & Equity Options and Swaps.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to implement very large projects across multiple legal entities worldwide
- Must be highly disciplined, a self-starter, and have the ability to execute on assignments independently and autonomously
- Effective ownership with ability to operate in a flexible, dynamic environment where creative and strategic thinking are also required in driving solutions, initiatives, and projects
- Outstanding team player with excellent communication skills, ability to work in collaboration building rapport with peers
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Highly analytical with organizational and prioritization skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous experience in Murex and/or Temenos
- Knowledge of more complex derivatives such as accumulators, target return forwards, tranched collars
