Join Philips as a Technical Department Manager Display Software where you will be leading a team responsible for developing the most intuitive displays for our minimum invasive procedures

Your Role:

• As the Technical Department Manager, you will lead the department for real-time rendering and video distribution technology for our minimal invasive systems, consisting of approximately 15 engineers located in the Netherlands and in India and define the group composition including required proficiencies, resources and skills.
• Ensure successful introduction and sustaining of high quality, serviceable, and reliable systems.
• Define and implement process and way of working improvement activities.
• Handle relationships (incl. subcontracting) externally with suppliers and partners, and internally with partners like Innovation, Development, Operations, Customer Services and Marketing.

You're the Right Fit If:

• MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 5+ years of technical development and demonstrated ability in People & Project management with strong communication skills.
• Experienced with Healthcare Regulatory aspects (FDA 820.x, IEC 62304, IEC60601, ISO13485, ISO14971), effective communication skills and a continuous improvement attitude.
• Experience in high-performance real-time C++ code design and implementation is considered a plus.
• Experience in testing and quality assurance is considered a plus.
• Strong understanding of healthcare products (preferably IGT-S) and hardware development / maintenance.
