Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of climate related workstreams and projects, including planning and cross functional coordination
- Contribute to the development of tools and data systems that enable climate intelligence and cross functional application
- Develop guidelines on critical sustainability topics by applying the latest research and expertise
- Identify business opportunities through development of new capabilities, and align and balance cross-functional interest
- Identify new integration opportunities by translating climate data into insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and enhance climate intelligence capabilities, including footprint calculation, forecasting and scenario analysis
- Develop technical guidelines and training for cross-functional teams regarding material impact management and critical sustainability topics
- Inform the cross-functional team about regulatory and market developments in impact assessment management
- Participate in external working groups of partner organizations and industry associations on environmental impacts
- Support climate risk evaluation and the development of adidas’ adaptation strategy across operations and supply chain

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic business recommendations.
- Strong business acumen to identify commercial opportunities linked to climate action.
- Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing of footwear, apparel, and accessories
- Ability to scan emerging trends, research, and technological solutions relevant to climate intelligence
- Capacity to balance and align diverse stakeholder interests toward common climate objectives
- Solid understanding of climate risk frameworks, including physical and transition risks, and familiarity with adaptation strategies.
- Awareness of global regulatory frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., ESRS, CSRD, SBTi, TCFD, PEF).
- Ability to apply a science-based approach to developing technical guidelines and integrating sustainability into business functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-experts
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year university degree, preferably a Master’s degree in environmental sciences, material sciences, CSR, or related fields
Minimum 7 years of experience in developing and implementing data systems, analytical tools, and strategic frameworks to address large-scale organizational impact, risk, or compliance challenges
