About the Role

As a
Merchant Analytics & Operations Managerin the team, you will help scale the business by driving continuous improvements through data analysis to unearth actionable insights and recommendations, initiating process and tech changes, managing new product launches, and creating growth strategies for strategic merchants. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify issues on existing processes and product offerings to drive changes for levelling up the merchant experience.

You will be reporting to the Head of Operations while working closely with Sales and Account Managers in Uber Direct to build up the merchant growth plan and strategies in pricing, promotions, and commercial programs.

Data analytics:

  • Develop and manage data pipelines to ensure smooth data flow and accessibility, empowering commercial teams with timely and relevant information.
  • Design, execute and automate processes to run and optimize the business performance and reliability.

Merchant strategies:

  • Provide consultative insights and recommendations to the commercial team to drive merchant growth, delivery reliability improvement, and refining pricing strategy.
  • Spearhead strategic initiatives across critical business areas, aiming for market leadership and maximum impact in supporting commercial teams.

Product launches:

  • Work with global and regional product operations teams to identify, plan, and operationalize new merchant features on our web or API solutions to improve merchant experience and grow the business at scale.

Process improvements:

  • Create new processes that enable us to launch & grow new partnerships and also provide a best-in-class merchant experience. You will work with account managers, sales, and other stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies, build solutions, and drive operational efficiency.

Operations solutions:

  • Act as the key product expert of Uber Direct and work with the engineering and commercial teams to structure the best integration and operations proposal for large-scale customers to adopt delivery service across different use cases in retail, groceries, or restaurants.

Basic Qualifications

  1. At least three years of experience in strategy operations, analytics, business intelligence, consulting, or a related field, preferably in fast-paced corporate environments.
  2. Expertise in analyzing data to uncover actionable insights and recommendations that support commercial strategies and merchant engagements.
  3. Ability to present complex information clearly and engagingly, tailored to different audiences.
  4. Strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders in commercial teams, understand their perspectives and build positive relationships.
  5. Proficiency in managing relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration to meet merchant needs effectively.
  6. Experience in proposing innovative solutions to address complex problems and executing end-to-end project proposals.
  7. Fluency in both English and Mandarin for effective verbal and written communication and influence.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Prior work experience in E-commerce, Logistics, SaaS and FMCG is preferred
