Job Description

Become part of the international localization department, involved in the development of patient monitors and other medical solutions in a demanding and innovative environment. You’ll work on various projects and support the terminology team. An exciting opportunity to develop your skills and make a significant contribution in a dynamic environment.

Your role:

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person to join our terminology team. You’ll assist the Philips terminologists in their daily terminology management work. The Philips Health Systems terminology database is a multilingual terminology database containing more than 23,000 entries. We cover mainly medical terminology in more than 40 languages. The terminology team works closely with translators and content creators. The work will be performed in English.

  • Assist in cleaning-up the termbase by identifying and correcting outdated entries.

  • Help manage terminology tasks by doing terminology research, drafting definitions for concepts, and adding useful information to our entries.

  • Collaborate with Philips terminologists to create new entries in the termbase, ensuring alignment with our established terminology standards.

You’re the right fit if:

  • Study in the field of linguistics, computer linguistics, translation science, translation or similar

  • Confident in using the MS Office suite

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Availability for at least a year

  • Willingness to carry out most of your tasks on site in our Böblingen office
