Reporting to the, therole involves designing and engineering tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as required in order to meet products specifications.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design and engineer moderately complex tooling protocols for molds, jigs and fixtures as per product specifications.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis.
- Implement cost effective tool design changes.
- Collaborate with other team members to qualification, sampling and final part approval.
- Provide status reports as per established schedule.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to tool room equipment.
