What the Candidate Will Do
- Evaluate new business development, critical initiatives and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Source, negotiate and implement strategic partnerships in alignment with the business model and priorities.
- Identify specific partners to approach, nurture the requisite senior relationships, and effectively communicate Uber’s value proposition and potential partnership opportunities.
- Work with internal teams such as product, operations, marketing, legal, tax teams to drive successful partnership outcomes. Track and report on key deal metrics.
- Own the existing partnerships and devise innovative constructs to further strengthen the relationship.
What the Candidate Will Need
- 5 years or plus experience in business development, management consulting, investment banking, or strategy work in a large business, technology company or growing startup.
- Experience with building, maintaining and leveraging C-level relationships at partner companies.
- Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multifaceted deals.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal, cross-functional teams as well as external organisations.
- Ability to see the big picture, understand the most important business priorities and easily adapt to the constantly-changing work environment.
