Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk – Tech & Cyber– Vice President

CCOR Technology & Cybersecurity (“CCOR T&C”) is a group within the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization is responsible for the design and oversight of the second line of defense independent risk management program for technology and cybersecurity risks, leveraging the Operational Risk Framework, regulatory guidance (e.g., FFIEC, Heightened Standards, etc.) and laws, rules, and regulations.

You will need to have an in-depth understanding of technology and cyber resiliency risks, the integration of business, technology and third party resiliency, providing effective assessment and challenge, and informed consultation. Additionally, you will need to be a strong self-starter, with intellectual curiosity, who can independently identify, assess, and monitor risks and the associated mitigating technology controls using a consistent, logical approach to assess the 1LOD technology resiliency operational environment as well as prepare/deliver written/verbal communications on risk and control assessment results to technical/non-technical audiences through senior levels within the firm.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of Associates to meet CCOR Tech & Cyber organization’s data needs.
  • Communicates with stakeholders to understand business and data requirements.
  • Use interpersonal skills to build awareness of the firm’s data assets that could assist stakeholders.
  • Organizes and transforms large datasets into comprehensible structures that can be used by stakeholders.
  • Provides data capabilities to support the global team.
  • Prioritize the upcoming work by managing a book-of-work, working with stakeholders and maintaining awareness of strategic priorities.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's/Master’s Engineering degree and 12+ years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and leading teams
  • Experience using a broad range of technologies used in the financial industry across the whole technology stack (compute, storage and network).
  • Experience working in large scale corporate data ecosystems, resolving inconsistencies and challenges in the data.
  • Strong Experience with public cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • Ability to work both independently and as a core team member.
  • Excellent research, analysis, written and interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented; possess a high-level of attention to detail and quality for their work product.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, Splunk to assist with data acquisition and analysis.
